Pot winter plan checklist
Garden or bed: Date:
- Looked up my zone and checked each tag against two zones colder
- Chose a plan for each pot: bury, group or garage
- Straw or pine needles on hand to cover buried pots
- Buried pots set in a few weeks after the first frost
- Grouped pots on the north or east side, out of the wind
- Garage or shed spot cleared, with a thermometer hung
- Watering reminder set for every second weekend
- Wrote each pot's winter spot on the pot list
